KMC is a USA Gymnastics (USAG) member club, specializing in Trampoline and Double Mini-Trampoline*, and competing in USAG sanctioned Trampoline & Tumbling (TT) events in Region 6, which includes Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, and Massachusetts, and in the USAG TT National Meet.
KMC Trampoline & Tumbling Parents’ Organization (KMC TTPO) is a federally recognized 510(c)(3) non-profit corporation created to promote and support the competitive activities of the KMC Trampoline and Tumbling Team.
Training is held at KMC Dance and Gymnastics center in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, 19348.
The team motto is “Born to Bounce.” The current team of athletes range in age from 8 to 18. New team members are generally recruited from KMC trampoline classes. Other members have come from people who want to compete in gymnastics, but are daunted by the rigors of artistic gymnastics; or sometimes from students spotted in Open Gym by a coach or instructor. A few members include some who started gymnastics at a later age than most, and others whose air sense reaches beyond their upper body strength. They also take on dual citizens: the trampoline season does not overlap completely with artistic gymnastics, so kids who want to extend the competition season, and develop their air sense during their off season are also welcome. Trampoline and Tumbling has been described as an extreme sport, and can be a controlled outlet for sensation seekers. If any of this describes you or your kid, come and visit the team at KMC to check it out.
*KMC is currently not equipped for PowerTumbling beyond an intermediate level.
